Reliable Plating Corp. provides bright tin plating or dull (matte) tin plating used in electronic applications for solderability and conductivity. It is also used for food related items. Reliable's matte tin plating is alloyed with Bismuth, minimizing development of "Tin Pest" and "Tin Whiskers" which are a concern in pure tin deposits.
Bright Tin plating, in addition to its attractive appearance, offers an increase in corrosion and tarnish resistance, but it is limited in re-flow soldering operations. Tin plating is RoHS, ELV and EEE compliant.
